What is a Jira AI employee?
A Jira AI employee is an AI that connects to your Jira account and completes work in it. It does not just answer questions, it creates issues, updates fields, performs transitions, and summarises sprints. Superkind builds this AI employee with your company knowledge and delivers the finished result wherever your team works.
Unlike Zapier or Make, there is nothing to configure. No triggers, no zaps, nothing to maintain. You describe the outcome in plain English, the AI employee picks the right Jira actions, chains them with your other systems, and asks for your approval before sensitive changes.
Jira is Atlassian’s platform for issues, projects, sprints, boards, and workflows across software and business teams.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about your AI employee for Jira.
Yes. Superkind connects Jira Cloud through a managed connector. Your team can then task the AI employee from Microsoft Teams, Slack, Outlook, or directly in the Superkind platform. It reads issues, sprints, and projects and performs the agreed actions in Jira. It only receives the permissions required for its assigned work.
An admin connects Jira through OAuth in one click and approves access to the selected Jira site. Superkind then checks the available projects, fields, and permissions. We configure the connection with you and define which actions can run independently and which ones require approval in Teams before they are performed.
It can create issues, update fields and priorities, assign people, add labels, perform transitions, write comments, and search with JQL. It can also summarise sprints, move issues into sprints, read board columns and project versions, or prepare reports. During onboarding, we define which actions your AI employee will use.
No. With Zapier or Make, you build triggers, steps, and field mappings and maintain them when something changes. With the AI employee, you describe the result in plain English. Superkind picks the appropriate Jira actions itself, connects them with Teams, Outlook, or Confluence when needed, and asks questions when details are missing or the outcome is unclear.
Only with your approval. Reading, searching, summarising, and agreed maintenance tasks can run independently. Before Superkind deletes a Jira issue, closes a sprint, edits many issues in bulk, or releases a version, it waits for a responsible person to approve the action in Teams. Your team decides which additional Jira actions count as sensitive.
Superkind is hosted in the EU and we sign a GDPR data processing agreement. The AI employee receives only the minimum Jira permissions it needs. Your data is not used to train models. Every action is logged so changes remain traceable. Access can be limited to selected Jira projects and clearly agreed tasks.
As a reference, Jira Standard costs about 8 euros per user each month and Jira Premium about 15 euros. Zapier or Make often costs 20 to 100 euros per month, plus ongoing workflow maintenance. Superkind is priced per use case, at a fraction of the cost of a full-time employee. The key factor is which complete tasks the AI employee handles.
